Why Now
The birches and elms turn for roughly two weeks a year in Manitoba. That's the whole window — and then there's one windy afternoon and it's over.
So I'm running two mini days this October, and that's it.
Twenty-five minutes each, finishing at sunset. One location per day. No posing marathon, no forty-minute wardrobe debate, no getting your family to say a word none of you have ever said out loud. I shoot documentary style, which mostly means I get you walking and talking and stay out of the way until something real happens — then a few proper portraits at the end, kept short.
Bring whoever your people are. Partner, kids, parents, the dog. Especially the dog.
The Two Days
Golden. The big aspens and the tree-lined paths, when the light goes low and everything turns the colour of a good beer. This is the classic Winnipeg fall gallery.
Meet at the Pavilion parking lot · Sessions 3:00pm – 7:00pm · sunset 7:05pm
Copper. Kildonan runs to mature elm and oak, which hold their colour later and go warmer — rust, bronze, deep gold. A different look entirely from the 3rd.
It's also Thanksgiving weekend. If the family's already in town and already wearing real clothes, twenty-five minutes on Saturday gets you a photo that isn't a blurry one from across the dinner table.

What You Get
CAD, before GST. A $50 non-refundable deposit holds your time; the balance is due the day before.
Eight slots per date. When they're gone, they're gone — I'm not adding a third day, because by mid-October the leaves are on the ground.
How It Works
Choose a date and a slot below. Slots are 25 minutes with a 5-minute reset between groups, so being on time genuinely matters — if you're ten minutes late, that's a big chunk of your session.
Nothing complicated. What to wear, exactly where to meet me, and what happens if it rains.
Twenty-five minutes goes fast. I'll give you a few things to do and then get out of the way.

Questions
Yes, and I'd genuinely prefer it. Both parks are leash-friendly and some of my favourite frames this year have been dogs mid-zoomie. Just bring someone who can hold the leash for the shots where you don't want it in frame.
Up to six. More than that and twenty-five minutes stops being enough — message me and we'll set up a full session instead.
Overcast is great, actual rain isn't. If the forecast turns, I'll move the whole day to the Sunday and let everyone know by Thursday. If you can't make the rain date, you get your deposit back.
Yes. Extra frames from your session are $25 each, and you'll see everything that made the cut in your gallery before you decide.

Most of what I do is weddings — documentary, candid and posed, a lot of farm and barn and open-field venues across Manitoba. I'm booking into 2027 right now, and mini session clients get first look at dates before I open them publicly.
